Enjoin the Good and Forbid Evil, O Salafee! - Abu Khadeejah
Sheikh Abu Khadeejah (saddadhu Allah ), " Alhamdu li Illahi Rabbi 'alamin wa slatu wa salam'ala ashrafi al mursalin, wa'ala alihi wa sabihi ajma'in.
Ama baadu.
You remember my brothers and sisters, barka Allah fekom.
The narration of Abd Allah bin Masaud (radi Allah `anhu) and which he stated, that would not come a time except that the time comes after is more evil than that which came before it and he mentioned in varieties narrations, in one of those narrations he mentions, "I do not intend by that a year after a year or a year better than a year or a time of its prosperity
And he mentioned, "and I do not intend by that a ruler over a ruler.
"He said, but rather what is intend here
is that the knowledge which you have today is less than that which you had yesterday. this is by a way of the death of the scholars; the death of the ulama, the death of the fuqha
And then he mentioned when the ulama they pass away then the people will all become of one level, and they will not enjoin the good and the will not forbid the evil, and when that occurs indeed they will be destroyed .
So this affair of enjoying the good and forbidding the evil is something my brothers and sisters which is from the greatest of affairs of our religion. The great scholar of this era , sheikh Saleh bin Fuzan bin Abd Allah al Fuzan ( may Allah Talla Protect him) he mentions," that no doubt enjoying the good and forbidding has a great station in the religion, to the extent, some of the ulmaa have counted it as a pillar of al Islam ;they have counted it as rokin men arkan al Islam", and then he mentioned the cause one of hadith Jibreel ('alayhisalam ), that when the Messenger of Allah (salla Allah alayhwasalam) was ask by Jibreel regarding Islam, that the Messenger of Allah (salla Allah alayhwasalam) he mentioned in one of those narrations, "wa an tamr bil Ma'ruf wa tnahy anal Munkar; that you also you enjoin the good and you forbid the evil" , So when Jibreel ('alayhi salam ) in the hadith when he came to the Messenger of Allah (salla Allah alayh wa salam) in the form of a man, and he asked him concerning Islam in one of those narrations about Islam, the Messenger of Allah (salla Allah alayh wa salam) mentioned ,"and that you enjoin the good, and that you forbid the evil", and sheikh al Fuzan he mentions,"wa kan al Sahaba yobayona al nbi(salla Allah alayhwasalam) 'ala al amr bil Ma'ruf wa alnahy anal Munkar.
[they are pledging allegiance to the Messenger of Allah (salla Allah alayh wa salam) upon enjoining the good and forbidding the evil]
That the Sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them)that they give the bai3a to the Messenger of Allah on (salla Allah alayh wa salam)upon the fact they will be commanded
to enjoin the good, and to forbid the evil, and then he mentions, "this is because mankind even if they are Muslims, and even if they are believers that will fall into error, and mankind is weak ,and he is dared to[... ] the desires, and the fittn that lead to evil, and this requires there for someone to come enjoin the good, and to forbid the evil, and because the calls to the doubts, and desires that they are great, and the call to the doubts, and the desires is great in mighty call;
people who call to bid'ah [Invention]
people who call to shirk [Shirk is to worship of anyone or anything other than Allah or with Allah( Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala].
people who call to sins
people who call to al nifaq [Hypocrisy]
people who call to lying, and kadhib[....] against the believers, they are many in number. So, Allah( Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) has raise for this Ummah individuals who will enjoin the good and forbid the evil, so
Allah tests and tries them from that which is presented to them from the desires and the [doubts] and the calls to evil.
So which is incumbent to establish to call to good and to forbid from the evil for the correction of these harms. So this is from "the mighty affair of the religion", take for example, al-Shaikh al-Fawzan mentions, and he mentions, "in a reality of hadith that has been collected by al- imam al- Bukhri (may Allah have a mercy upon him) the hadith of An-Numan bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him), al-Shaikh al-Fawzan mentions it in general form, ,he mentions, "take the example of a group of people who upon a ship, and one group he is upon upper level, and the other group he is on the lower level of that ship, the lower group all he needs to come to upper level, so they may able to take the barrel of water, and take from the water, and drink the water, and use it for
themselves, so some of the people who are upon the lower level they said to each other, "let us drill a hole in the ground; a hole in our lower level, into the water that's below us, and take the water of that it's from there, and let us not bother those who are in upper level, because every time when we go up, we seem to harm them, and we seem to bother them, so let us not bother them, let us just drill a hole in the ship that we are upon, in the bottom, we just take the water from there" ,so then Shaikh al-Fawzan mentions, "so if the people on the upper level left alone whose in the down below, then all of them will be sunk, and will be drowned, so if they take the water in that manner, and all of them are drowned, and the ship is scuttle, and if preventing from drilling, then all of them are saved", so Shaikh al-Fawzan he mentions, "and likewise in the limits, and prescribe limits of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala)so the ship in this hadith is the Shari'a of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala), that's because there is no successful mankind except through the Shari'a and boarding that ship, just like the narration of the great Imam Malik ibn Anas when he said," al Sunnah ka Safinat Noah; that the Sunnah is like the ark of Noah. Whomsoever boards it then he saved, and whomsoever refuses then he is drowned".06:59
